Pain is often the motivating factor determining the reason why people change. Missing a work deadline can cause us to change. Debts remind us of our lack of effort in looking for a better or additional source of income. Being humiliated gives us the ‘push’ to speak up and fight for ourselves… in order to save our face from future embarrassments. It may be a bitter experience, a friend’s tragic story, a great movie, or an inspiring book that helps us get up and get the necessary strength, strong determination, and motivation we need in order to improve ourselves.
Ancient Biblical scripture states something to the effect that “when we are weak we are made strong.” I think that may apply to this discussion.
With the countless negativities the world brings about, how do we keep motivated? Below I have listed 26 tips… listed from A to Z…
A - Achieve your dreams. To do so you should avoid negative people, things and places. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
B - Believe in yourself, and in what you can do. You have to believe in you when others are not supportive. What you believe you are… you will become.
C - Consider every angle and aspect. Motivation comes from determination. To be able to understand life, you need a proper perspective. You need to examine both sides of the coin to be fair and balanced.
D - Don’t give up and don’t give in. Thomas Edison failed once, twice, more than thrice, before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb. Celebrate each step of the journey… no matter how small or seemingly insignificant… this powers your self determination, keeping your engine running, keeping your focus pure.
